Electronic Arts today announced it is all eliminating paper game manuals and reducing printed materials in its packaged products by 40 percent. The publisher says this initiative will apply to all PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC games worldwide going forward.

Bioware confirmed that there's one more piece of downloadable content coming for Mass Effect 2. Dubbed "Arrival," we don't know much about the new missions aside from some leaked Trophy descriptions. One theory is that the content has something to do with the Reapers arriving from dark space and will help bridge the gap between Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3, which is scheduled to release this fall.

Dragon Age: Legends isn't like other Facebook titles because it's an actual game. You can catch up on the basics of Dragon Age: Legends here, but the gist is that you play as a mage, warrior or rogue and participate in turn-based battles. You also get to build a bitchin' castle. 

Still, the best thing about playing the Facebook game is that you can unlock items to use in Dragon Age II. Want more specifics? You're in luck.

Since its release in November, Black Ops sold 13.7 million units in the U.S. combined across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Wii, and Nintendo DS, according to retail tracking firm NPD.

Epic announced a host of new features in their Unreal Engine 3 development platform today at this year's GDC, the biggest of which is support for DirectX 11 and its assorted tools. The problem is, for most people, these kind of announcements might as well be in Sanskrit, they're full of tech jargon that goes right by the average gamer.

The first Magicka expansion probably wasn't what fans were expecting. Publisher Paradox Interactive today unveiled Magicka: Vietnam, set for release in Spring 2011 for PC.

Electronic Arts' plans for its reboot of the Command & Conquer franchise. A newly formed studio called Victory Games, being headed up by former Might and Magic developer Jon Van Caneghem, will run EA's entire strategy games portfolio going forward. In an interview published on the website, Caneghem says "Our current focus is making a AAA Command & Conquer game, which I am very excited to be working on."
